Mow around 3½–4 inches once the lawn is actively growing. Keep the blade sharp and never remove more than one-third at a time.

Watch for broadleaf weeds, thin winter-damaged areas and early crabgrass pressure. Avoid disturbing the pre-emergent barrier.
